Today marks the beginning of Long Island Restaurant week, but don’t worry, if you are not on the North Fork to experience this great deal in dinning, it runs through next Sunday, so take advantage of this event and experience some of the best dining experiences in the country. Celebrate “Halloweekend” on the North Fork

This year there are many inventive and exciting ways to celebrate Halloween on the North Fork, and a stay at North Fork Bed and Breakfast Association member inn would make it one of the most memorable Halloween weekends you’ve ever had. On Friday, Oct. 30, the 250 year-year-old Hallockville Museum Farm in Aquebogue will have a 50-minute Haunted Museum Tour. Storytellers will take visitors on a spooky ride and recite stories like the tale of the phantom officer and the spectral bride. Looking Forward to North Fork Wine Country’s Fall Season

Many lament Labor Day Weekend as the end of summer, but on the North Fork we rejoice in the start of our spectacular Fall season. Besides our pastoral beauty and pristine beaches, the east end is known for it’s bountiful farms and vineyards, and boy do they shine at harvest time! At the vineyards the fruit is heavy on the vine and you can actually see the sugar-laden liquid as the sun shines through the taught grape skins. Last chance of the season to experience North Fork Designer Showcase

For the past few years the twelve-room manse of Cutchogue Presbyterian Church has been taken over by designers and converted into a showcase called the North Fork Designer Show House. This season the house was redecorated by a new roster of interior designers and the house’s neighbor to the west, Jessica Lee, has allowed them to use her large red 19th century barn, covered outdoor seating area, hoop house and primitive potting shed. Four designers who participated in both of the 2014 shows will be decorating these spaces along with several new designers.
