For the past few years the twelve-room manse of Cutchogue Presbyterian Church has been taken over by designers and converted into a showcase called the North Fork Designer Show House. This season the house was redecorated by a new roster of interior designers and the house’s neighbor to the west, Jessica Lee, has allowed them to use her large red 19th century barn, covered outdoor seating area, hoop house and primitive potting shed. Four designers who participated in both of the 2014 shows will be decorating these spaces along with several new designers. The large garden in back of the house, connecting to the Lee residence, will be outfitted with decorative vignettes. The beneficiaries of the showcase are local charities, including CAST, Maureen’s Haven and The North Fork Animal Welfare League.

The show case allows you to see how talented interior, landscape, and garden designers translate the natural beauty of the North Fork and one of its’ lovely old village homes into their artistic vision. Wherever you live, you will come away with ideas to make your space great, or just enjoy the beauty of what they have created. And for the total North Fork experience, make sure you stay with one of the North Fork Bed and Breakfast Association member B&B’s, any one of them worthy of a being a designer show house themselves.

Make sure you catch their final long weekend, Thursday – Sunday, September 3 – 6, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m., tickets are $25 and available at the door. They are located at 27150 Main Rd., next to the Village Green, Cutchogue, Long Island, NY 11935.
