Celebrate “Halloweekend” on the North Fork
This year there are many inventive and exciting ways to celebrate Halloween on the North Fork, and a stay at North Fork Bed and Breakfast Association member inn would make it one of the most memorable Halloween weekends you’ve ever had. On Friday, Oct. 30, the 250 year-year-old Hallockville Museum Farm in Aquebogue will have a 50-minute Haunted Museum Tour. Storytellers will take visitors on a spooky ride and recite stories like the tale of the phantom officer and the spectral bride. The stories will be based on historical occurrences, local folklore and urban legend. Admission is $7 per person. Tour begins at 4:30 and the last tour leaves at 7:30. 2015 Summer Showcase Concert Series starts tonight and goes through the summer
The 2015 Summer Showcase Concert Series is underway in Southold and it’s celebrating it’s 25th season at Silversmith’s corner. The town green, also known as Silversmith’s corner, on the corner of Young’s Avenue and the Main road, is where they are held. It is a Wednesday night series and starts at 7:30 p.m. The next one is the Island Jazz Ensemble on July 8th. Long Island Winterfest Returns to Wine Country
Long Island Wine Country is preparing to celebrate the regional music festival, Long Island Winterfest from February 8 – March 16, 2014. During Winterfest, wineries, lodging, dining and attractions combine to create an amazing destination for winter tourism. Back for its seventh consecutive year, Long Island Winterfest has been re-named “Live on the Vine,” to now incorporate different genres of music in addition to reveled jazz musicians. Christmas in Cutchogue: A Very Special Holiday House Tour This December
Local Cutchogue business partners are thrilled to announce The Holiday House Tour on December 7, 2013. Four beautifully decorated homes will open their doors for this event. The North Fork region is energized for a new kind of event this Veteran’s Day weekend (November 9th through 11th), called Taste North Fork. Visitors and local residents alike, will enjoy special offers at wineries, restaurants, shops, attractions and accommodations, such as our North Fork Bed & Breakfasts. There will be additional transportation to the East End from New York City, Connecticut and the surrounding area, as well as a free shuttle route along the North Fork once you are here!
